Badger Printing
Badger allows CBS employees to send documents for printing from any computer. The documents can then be printed and picked up at any Badger printer location by tapping your CUID badge.
Instructions for CBS managed computer and Non-CBS managed computers
Quick Tips:
- The most convenient way to print is using the Badger print driver on your CBS managed computer.
- Jobs can be released on any Badger printer.
- Simply tap your CUID at any Badger printer within 12 hours of sending your job.
- You can delete unwanted jobs by logging into https://badger.cuit.columbia.edu.
Ways to print with Badger
Install the Badger drivers on your CBS managed computer:
Windows platform Badger installation
1. Open the Software Center app on your computer.
2. In Applications, find and install Badger-CBS-MFP-B&W
3. When Status updates to Installed, installation is complete.
Apple platform Badger installation
1. Open the Self Service app on your computer.
2. In the left navigation, click Printers and install Printer Drivers: Badger-CBS-MFP-B&W
3. Once status updates to Reinstall this indicates that the installation is complete.
Upload directly to badger.cuit.columbia.edu - For computers that are Non-CBS managed1. Navigate to https://badger.cuit.columbia.edu
2. Log in with your UNI and password.
3. Tap Upload and select a file.
4. Tap Print Options in the lower right corner to adjust the number of copies, page range, color settings, etc.
(To adjust from standard black and white, double-sided printing, log in to https://badger.cuit.columbia.edu with your UNI and password. Select the file you wish to adjust, and click on Print Options in the lower right corner.)
Printing with staple - Only with CBS managed computers
Windows1. To print with stapling, select the appropriate Badger driver as your printer destination.
2. Click on the “Printer Properties”
3. Click on the “Output” tab
4. Click on the drop down arrow under “Output Options” and select “One Staple Angled”
5. Click “OK”
6. Click “Print”
7. Walk up to the printer and tap your Columbia ID to retrieve the print job.
Apple1. To print with stapling, select the appropriate Badger driver as your printer destination.
2. Click on the “Copies & Pages” drop down and select “Finishing”
3. Select “One Staple Left Angled” under “Staple”
4. Click “Print”
5. Walk up to the printer and tap your Columbia ID to retrieve the print job.
