Private Equity Curriculum
The Private Equity (PE) curriculum covers buyouts, growth equity, and private credit strategies, blending practitioner insights with theory. The gateway course, Private Equity Finance, provides a foundation in financial modeling, value creation, stakeholder perspectives, and contemporary trends. Specialized electives delve into the roles of investment professionals, institutional investors, lenders, and management teams, introducing a diverse range of career paths in the PE industry.

Private equity is one of the Curriculum Pathways which are optional sequences of electives, tailored to help MBA and EMBA students choose courses that align with specific career goals. Pathways offer structured, career-focused learning within the MBA and EMBA degrees, providing you with relevant insights for their professional journeys. These pathways are only suggestions. Since they are not official concentrations and will not be noted on transcripts, students have the flexibility to take (or not take) any suggested electives.
Private Equity Fellows Program
Private Equity Fellows is in an application-only program for full-time MBA students. The Private Equity Fellows Program provides participants -- who complete the requirements -- priority access to curriculum, career resources, and activities. The specialized program is tailored to cover the needs of our most promising MBA PE candidates, while helping our alumni working in the industry by creating a condensed resume book of dedicated candidates.

KKR Case Competition
The KKR Private Equity Case competition is held annually with a kick-off event and series of instructional events held by the PE Program prior to the competition submission deadline. The sessions cover finding a company, developing the thesis, valuation, modeling, value creation, exit considerations and more.
The competition is designed to expose students to the world of private equity, work in diverse teams. Each team must include students without traditional PE backgrounds and are partly judged on the diversity of their team.

Alumni Connections
Additionally, the Program helps engage students into an alumni community within in the private equity industry in the U.S. and globally. In addition to the frequent industry guest speakers in classes, students may join the weekly Private Equity Breakfast series.
The Program and works closely with the student-led Private Equity Club. Students interested in private equity should consider joining the club to take advantage of their trainings, events and annual conference.
