Video games today are a $200 billion business. No longer existing on the fringes, the economics of the video games industry has notably changed and allow for novel revenue models. It has also attracted attention from non-endemic conglomerates looking to reconnect with audiences, tech firms hoping to expand their ecosystems, as well as anti-trust regulators.
