Our speaker on June 5th will be Rahul Matthan, Partner in the Trilegal firm in Bangalore and an advisor to India's Ministry of Finance on Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI).
Rahul's topic covers an update on India's Data Protection law as well as its DPI agenda. The Data Protection law is shaping up as a much simpler approach compared to the GDPR style laws. It is going to be a principles-based regulation that aims to deal with various challenges that are putting pressure on EU’s law. The DPI agenda is working toward a new approach to data governance that is different from the US and the EU. He explained.
