Budget

The budget provided is based on a moderate student lifestyle and represents the maximum amount of financial aid possible for the current academic year. EMBA students are also able to borrow for living expenses, but since most are working, we encourage students to borrow conservatively for this amount, if at all. If you have extenuating circumstances, please review our Budget Appeal Process and contact the Financial Aid Office.

Tuition Charges

Your tuition charge includes the cost of books and course materials each term. Federal aid recipients have the right to exclude this cost from coverage under their Title IV funds. If you choose to exercise this right, please be advised that you will be responsible for the total cost of all books and course materials through other funding means. Please consult the financial aid office for additional information.

EMBA-NY Friday/Saturday Tuition

When you enter the EMBA Program, your tuition pays for books and meals on all class days, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. It also includes conference center accommodations during residence weeks, and other resources, as well as residence and meals during the week-long international seminar in the second year.

Students must purchase a laptop computer for the program, pay their own airfare for the International Seminar, and arrange their own travel throughout the program.

Total EMBA-NY Friday/Saturday charges for August 2024 entry are $248,280* for the 60 credit degree. Students are billed $4,138 per credit and the recommendation is to take 12 credits each semester. Based on recommended enrollment, the tuition per term is broken down as follows.

The indirect costs below represent estimated living expenses for all students at CBS. Since most EMBA students are employed full-time, and have expenses such as books included in tuition, the majority of EMBA borrowers limit their loan to cover tuition only. If you are interested in borrowing for indirect costs, you can borrow up to the amounts below. All loans will first be applied to your Columbia student account, if they exceed the billed amount, you will receive a refund for that credit within 14 days of your loan disbursement each semester.
