- Current news headlines that relate to course content.
- Connect to recruiting questions students might get in job interviews.
- Speak to real world usage of class concepts.
- Ask students for examples from their own work experience, which can become your examples in subsequent years.
- Connect to everyday examples. For instance, using the cost of the MBA to explain opportunity costs.
- Connect to other electives students can take to learn more.
- Split students up to debate opposing viewpoints (see next section for more guidance).
