We know that every student’s journey is unique—some students want to learn about family enterprise in a formalized sequence, while others might want to take just a course on the topic here or there. In response, the Global Family Enterprise Program (GFEP) has developed two ways of learning: a formal track and a more personalized, flexible menu.

Both options are designed to ensure that students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the complex and dynamic world of family enterprises. Through these carefully developed educational offerings, GFEP aims to support the next generation of leaders in achieving enduring success.

The Formal Track: Family Enterprise Curriculum Pathway

If you’re looking for a formalized and structured sequence, GFEP created the Family Enterprise Curriculum Pathway, which offers an in-depth exploration of the essential capitals—financial, human, relational, and reputational—that drive family enterprises. The Pathway is designed to help you master the complexities of family businesses, from ownership strategies and generational transitions to investment principles and business operations. This track is ideal for those aiming to be operating or non-operating owners of family businesses, family offices, or real estate, as well as for aspiring non-family executives, advisors, or Chief Investment Officers in family enterprises.

The Personalized Journey: Strategic Elective Route

For students who want to develop their own pathways, GFEP created the Strategic Elective Route with the understanding that family enterprises often have unique investment interests and asset classes. You’ll design your own highly customizable educational experience by answering questions about your specific goals and interests. This survey-based approach serves students who are—or who will be—family members, owners, or advisors. This track is ideal for future leaders and innovators, family office principals, real estate owners, managers of family philanthropy, and/or advisors, with the appreciation that these interests often intersect.
