Family enterprises are a driving force in the global economy, but today’s fast-paced world brings a host of complex challenges. From volatile markets and rapid technological advancements to generational wealth transitions and global issues like climate change, family businesses must now navigate an increasingly complex landscape. The need for connection, support, and shared learning has never been greater, as evidenced by the proliferation of community-building initiatives around the world. These communities are built around various interests—whether geographic, generational, role-based, or asset-focused—and are dedicated to help support family enterprises as they face these challenges.
At the Global Family Enterprise Program, we see ourselves as integral members and embrace our roles with this flourishing ecosystem.
We have three core responsibilities:
Building
We are committed to building a dynamic learning community of students dedicated to their growth and leadership within their family enterprises. This goes beyond the classroom, where individuals become part of a lifelong network of alumni who are dedicated to ongoing development and making a lasting impact.
Catalyzing
We act as catalysts by driving change and facilitating growth within family enterprise communities. Through our innovative research and educational offerings, we help spark new ideas and push boundaries. Our role is to empower family businesses to embrace change and adapt to a rapidly evolving environment so they are prepared with the resources, knowledge, and connections needed to excel.
Advocating
As advocates for family enterprises, we promote the needs and interests of family enterprises by connection individuals and communities. By connecting individuals and communities, we support those who are aware of their own potential and who strive to create meaningful impact for themselves, their families, their enterprises, and the broader community.
