After you have identified the students you wish to interview, please submit your invite list through COIN, the School's online career management system. You may also send invitations directly to the students if you wish, but this is not required, as students are notified of invitations from employers through COIN. They must then follow Career Management Center procedures to accept invitations and obtain an interview time slot. The CMC uses COIN functionality to automatically schedule students' interview times.
Invitation lists must be received on time so that we have enough time to process your schedule(s). If we do not receive your invitation list by the deadline, we reserve the right to reschedule your interview day or ask you to manage your own schedules.
Full-Time Recruiting
Invitation lists are due through COIN at least two weeks (14 calendar days) before the interview date unless otherwise specified by the Career Management Center.
Internship Recruiting
Invitation lists are due through COIN at least two weeks (14 calendar days) before the interview date except for those companies interviewing from January 3-19:
INTERVIEW DATE | January 3-19, 2024 | December 15, 2023 |
INVITATION LIST DUE | January 22, 2024, onward | 14 calendar days before interview date |
Alternate Invitations
Firms are encouraged to select alternate candidates to ensure that the interview schedules remain full.
Final Schedules
Although you may access and print your schedules from COIN at any time, please note that they will not be finalized until 9 am two business days before the interview. Prior to that point, students will be able to change their times or drop the interview, so please do not print or distribute schedules to interviewers before then.
Schedule Options
Interview Schedules
For a full day’s schedule, you can invite 13 students for 30-minute interviews or 9 students for 45-minute interviews.
We encourage you to indicate at least two alternate candidates, listed in order of priority, for each closed schedule.
Rotational Interview Schedules
Rotational (or Back-to-back) schedules are appropriate when you want each student to have two interviews, one right after the other with two different recruiters. We will reserve two rooms for your rotational schedules. For a full day’s schedule, you can invite 14 students for 30 minute interviews or 10 students for 45 minute interviews. These schedules must be requested when your original date request is submitted. We are unable to convert single-interview schedules to rotational schedules after the original booking date.

Request Dates
Recruiters should submit date requests for interviews and events in the 2023–24 season through COIN.
COIN is also where employers enter job descriptions, collect RSVPs and applications, view résumés, select candidates, and view on-campus schedules. It is also where they post jobs for just-in-time hiring.
Please log into COIN, the School's Career Opportunity Information Network to submit your date request. This interface gives you the ability to:
- Request on-campus recruiting dates & presentations
- View and manage your on-campus recruiting schedules
- Invite students
- Enter and manage job descriptions
- Manage company presentation details
- Manage company contact information
- Post off-campus jobs for MBA Students, Executive MBA Students, MS Students and Columbia Business School Alumni
- Collect resumes for off-campus job postings
If you are having any difficulty with the system, please contact your account manager or the Career Management Center.
International and Regional Recruiters
No interviews or offers for summer internships are permitted between August 21, 2023 and the start of interviews as previously listed. Exceptions may be allowed for certain international and regional offices outside of the New York tri-state area, only with prior approval from the CMC.
