Ananya is a master's of public administration (MPA) candidate at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA), where she is concentrating in international finance and economic policy and specializing in management.
She earned her bachelor’s in economics and psychology from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University. After completing her undergraduate degree, Ananya worked with Standard and Poor’s in their global analytics division. Before pursuing her graduate degree, she worked with the National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India, where she designed strategy initiatives and identified growth opportunities for workforce development, global labor mobility, employment generation, and future of work.
While at SIPA, she has worked as a graduate consultant for i(x) investments, an impact-focused investment management firm, where she created an impact metric for a sustainable housing project.
At Morgan Stanley, Ananya was a fellow with the Investing With Impact team in wealth management. During the fellowship, she contributed to multiple initiatives across the platform, including the development of analytical tools and collateral resources for wealth management investment resources, financial advisors, and clients. During the summer, she advanced four primary projects for the platform: a competitive analysis of main industry players; impact reporting for the platform’s suite of firm discretionary portfolios that leveraged data from a proprietary impact-reporting tool; a toolkit focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; and a climate risk-assessment of a proprietary climate solutions fund. These initiatives were informed by the broader goal of providing innovative solutions to individual and institutional clients, helping them make investments that generate measurable, positive social and/or environmental impact alongside financial returns. Throughout the summer, Ananya collaborated with various Morgan Stanley teams to advance sustainable finance goals and initiatives.
