Joyce is an MBA candidate at Columbia Business School, primarily focused on corporate sustainability and technology. As a Sustainable Investing Fellow, she worked on the Investing With Impact team within the Wealth Management Global Investment Office (GIO). Joyce developed a framework and prototype that leverages Morgan Stanley Impact Quotient data to analyze the alignment of ETFs, mutual funds, and SMAs to relevant impact themes, such as climate and DEI. Her efforts will serve as the foundation for a new manager scoring product available across the division, allowing investors and financial advisors to better align their portfolios with their values. The product aspires to combine multi-faceted impact data and proprietary sensitivity analyses on market performance to serve recommendations for its users through greater transparency into impact investing.
Prior to Columbia Business School, Joyce was a management consultant at Kearney working on strategy and operations projects for US and Canadian clients. Her industry experience ranges from health care market strategy to CPG manufacturing efficiency. Joyce was the head of Kearney’s Canadian social impact team and was on the Americas social impact leadership team, which determines the strategic direction of the firm’s social impact efforts across all North and South American offices.
Joyce is currently on the management team of Microlumbia, Columbia’s nonprofit impact investment fund supporting financial inclusion in underserved communities around the world. Joyce holds a BA in economics and a BA in sustainable environmental design from the University of California, Berkeley.
