What is the social or environmental issue being addressed?
Infectious diseases in epidemic outbreaks and hospital-acquired infections lead to tens of thousands of deaths and billions of dollars lost in the healthcare system each year. Current disinfectants are not effective in preventing infection because they are transparent, form droplets that roll off waterproof surfaces, and have no method of ensuring that end-users wait long enough to kill pathogens.
Innovation:
"Highlight" is a patented additive that greatly improves visibility, coverage, and end-user compliance of disinfectants to eliminate human error and empower healthcare workers and patients to be confident in their safety.
