Allan Levine ’95

Co-founder and Executive Chairman
Global Atlantic
Columbia Business School

Allan Levine is co-founder and executive chairman of Global Atlantic Financial Group, a leading provider of retirement security and investment solutions and wholly owned subsidiary of KKR & Co. Inc. (NYSE: KKR), where he is also a partner.

Allan co-founded the business as the Goldman Sachs Reinsurance Group in 2004, led its separation from Goldman Sachs and relaunch as Global Atlantic Financial Group in 2013, and served as chairman and chief executive officer through its majority sale to KKR in 2021 and its evolution into a wholly owned subsidiary in 2023, before becoming executive chairman in 2025. His vision and strategic direction guided the company’s growth over more than two decades, building a leading global platform that today manages more than $200 billion in assets under management and serves millions of policyholders worldwide.

Prior to co-founding Global Atlantic, Allan was co-head of firm-wide strategy and partner at Goldman Sachs.

Allan serves on the board of directors of the American Council of Life Insurers and Everest Group Ltd. (NYSE: EG), is vice chair of the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Nantucket, and is a member of the advisory board of the Tamer Institute for Social Enterprise and Climate Change at Columbia Business School. He holds a BS from Miami University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
