Titi is a second-year MPA student at the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) focused on sustainable finance and corporate sustainability. She spent her fellowship in the Global Sustainable Finance group, where she worked on six diverse projects across the products and solutions, corporate sustainability, and Institute for Sustainable Investing teams. This included researching emerging trends and technologies in the voluntary carbon market and providing recommendations for Morgan Stanley’s carbon neutrality commitments. She also collaborated with the Investing With Impact team on strategies for sustainable products and solutions and expanded the Morgan Stanley Investment Quotient (MSIQ) placemat. This fellowship enabled her to understand the breadth of sustainable finance and how different divisions within Morgan Stanley are incorporating sustainability into their operations.
Titi has four years of professional experience in the financial services industry. She worked as a senior investment analyst at Afrinvest, a leading investment bank in Nigeria. In her role, she traded fixed income securities, consulted with clients on their portfolios, and was involved in business development and strategy. She was also a volunteer at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group, where she wrote a policy paper recommending budget priorities for the agriculture sector addressed to the Nigerian Ministry of Finance.
Titi worked as a graduate researcher at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, a joint center of the Columbia Law School and the Earth Institute. As a researcher, she authored a policy paper focused on integrating climate science and ESG considerations into land-based investments. As a board member of the Columbia Impact Investing Initiative (CI3), she serves on the research and development hub, and works on driving engagements with industry professionals. Titi is also a 2022 Emerging Leader in Sustainable Finance, awarded by Bank of America and the GreenBiz group. She earned her BSc in economics from the University of Lagos and is a volunteer with Aiducation International.
