What is the social or environmental issue being addressed?
Single-parenthood is the single biggest impoverishment factor in most Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries. With Commune, we provide a turnkey housing and service solution for parents and children to grow and thrive.
Single parents were the demographics most directly impacted by the housing crisis and the loneliness pandemic — until Commune, which provides them with spaces, opportunities, and communities completely curated for and with them.
Innovation:
Commune has revived communal living for the demographic group that needed it the most: single parents and their children. We build unique residences that feature grandiose shared spaces, such as a multi-purpose playroom, along with comfortable private units where parent and child can enjoy a room of one’s own.
