The Richard Paul Richman Center for Business, Law, and Public Policy supports Columbia University’s JD/MBA program, offered jointly by Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School.
The JD/MBA program can be completed in either three or four years. The three-year program is designed for highly motivated students who seek a deep education in both law and business, and who wish to complete their studies and enter the job market a year earlier than traditional joint-degree programs allow. The four-year program, which enables students to spend five terms at the Law School and three at the Business School, is designed for those interested in a broader course curriculum, extracurricular activities in both disciplines, and the opportunity to work during three summers. Courses are taught by highly regarded faculty at the Business School and the Law School. Students take a combination of core courses that provide the essential foundation and electives that target their areas of interest.
