The Richard Paul Richman Center for Business, Law, and Public Policy cordially invites you to an invitation-only conference on Financial Risk and Regulation: Unfinished Business, co-organized by Ira Millstein and Charles Calomiris. This conference launches a new initiative on Interdependence in the Global Economy.
This conference brings together top economic and legal experts to address regulatory reform in the United States. It will examine how implementation of Dodd-Frank and Basel III may affect the structure and performance of US financial institutions. Panelists will also examine whether additional reforms should be considered, including the restructuring of bank capital requirements, the reorganization of large “too-big-to-fail” banks, the creation of new regional or global regulatory authorities, new resolution structures, and tax policies for financial institutions. The conference aims to influence future regulatory actions, practitioners’ strategies vis-à-vis regulation, and academic research.
